A bankruptcy attorney currently under review by the Western District of Pennsylvania bankruptcy court for alleged “systemic” misconduct is appealing a decision of the judge overseeing the review to recuse in only two of the hundreds of cases in which the lawyer is involved.

Debtor attorney Jason J. Mazzei of Mazzei & Associates is also asking the district court to which he appealed to order that none of the four judges on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania be allowed to hear his cases given the judge overseeing the review, former Chief Judge Thomas P. Agresti, made public comments about Mazzei to other judges on the court.
