Elected and appointed
P. Brennan Hart, partner in the Pittsburgh office of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti, was appointed to serve on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania for a three-year term.
Prior to this appointment, Hart served as a hearing committee member for six years.
Hart serves as co-chair of the firm’s professional liability practice group and co-chair of the defense litigation practice group.
Nauman Smith managing partner Craig J. Staudenmaier was a featured panelist for the Right-to-Know Law Forum during the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors’ annual educational conference in Hershey, Pa.
The discussion was moderated by Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley.
Staudenmaier focuses his practice on Right-to-Know and media law, as well as state and federal litigation.
Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads partner Jeanne Bakker was a panelist for the American Conference Institute’s seventh National Forum on ERISA Litigation in Chicago.
Bakker is a partner in the firm’s employee benefits and executive compensation practice group.
Lawrence J. Weinstein, a partner at Silver & Silver, presented at the Social Security Disability Bootcamp seminar sponsored by the National Business Institute.
He discussed an overview of the law, operating terms and procedure.
Weinstein has been representing disabled individuals seeking SSD and long-term disability benefits for more than 10 years and formerly was employed by the U.S. Social Security Administration.
James W. Saxton, chair of Stevens & Lee’s health care litigation and risk management group and co-chair of the health care department, was a speaker at the Professional Liability Underwriting Society Medical PL Symposium in Atlanta.
Saxton was among a panel of industry professionals who presented “Strategies to Successfully Integrate Hospitals and Physician Practices.”
Saxton is an active defense trial lawyer, representing providers, including hospitals, physicians and retirement communities, in state and federal court and administrative proceedings.
Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano associate Keld R. Wenge appeared May 5 on the Berks County live call-in cable television show “Injured Workers of Pa.”
Wenge appeared as a panelist and took live calls during the show regarding workers’ compensation matters.
He dedicates his practice to workers’ compensation matters and serving injured workers in Pennsylvania.
