A gymnast who was unsuccessful in his attempt to collect upwards of $75 million in damages against Cornell University for an injury on campus has now been taxed more than $100,000 in costs.

Clerk of Court Michael E. Kunz of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania awarded Cornell nearly $104,000 in costs it incurred in defending a personal injury action brought by former student and gymnastics club member Randall Duchesneau in 2008. Duchesneau was paralyzed and rendered quadriplegic after an on-campus tumbling accident.
