Attorney Donald B. Scace Jr. died Dec. 26 at Bryn Mawr Hospital at age 66.

After graduating from Lafayette College in 1969, Scace attended night school at Delaware Law School (now Widener University) while working as a law clerk, according to a release.

He continued to work as an associate at McEldrew, Hanamirian, Quinn & D’Amico after receiving his law degree in 1976.

In 1984, Scace became a partner in the firm, which changed its name to Quinn, Scace & Selfridge.

He was later recruited by Robert J. Casey Jr. & Associates—the staff counsel office for State Farm Insurance—in January 1995.

Scace retired in July.

He was a dedicated family man and sports fan, as well as an active member of the Bethany Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, a release said.

Scace is survived by his mother, Eleanor (nee McFarland); his wife, Lucinda (nee Long); and his two children, Susannah and Bradley. •
