The roundtable discussion precedes the annual Philadelphia Bar Association‘s Chancellor’s Reception.

Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads participated as a sponsor in the Delaware Valley Children’s Charity (DVCC) holiday program.

DVCC’s annual holiday program matches sponsors with children in need to provide children with clothing, toys and food from their holiday wish lists.

This year, the firm raised more than $2,200 to purchase gifts for an underprivileged family in the Delaware Valley area.

The funds were split up to buy gifts for eight children from the same family.

Several Montgomery McCracken staff members participated in shopping for and wrapping the items from the children’s lists.


Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Nicholas Deenis presented at the Lorman webinar, “Check Hold Fundamentals: The Rules Governing Deposited Funds Availability.”

Deenis discussed the law of funds availability in the bank deposit and check collection scheme.

Deenis represents national and local banks, counseling on various federal and state statutes applicable to banks, including the Uniform Commercial Code.

He has litigation experience in check fraud and related claims, as well as consumer-related claims, including class actions, brought against banks and financial services companies.
