Nothing in the U.S. Supreme Court's recent decisions on immigration law changes the Third Circuit's 2010 ruling that Hazleton, Pa.'s immigration ordinances are pre-empted by federal law, a panel of the appeals court ruled.

Hazleton passed two ordinances that aimed to prohibit employment of illegal immigrants and preclude them from renting housing within the city limits. A district court enjoined the town from enforcing the laws and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit issued a permanent injunction on pre-emption grounds.
