Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Catherine Ward was re-elected to the board of directors of the environmental law section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
The environmental law section concentrates on promoting improvement and professionalism in the practice of environmental law and maintaining communication with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the federal Environmental Protection Agency.
Based in the firm's Cherry Hill, N.J., office, Ward is co-chair of Stradley Ronon's environmental practice group.
She concentrates her practice in environmental, real estate and energy matters, including public-private partnerships and economic development.
She also counsels clients on regulatory and contractual issues relating to brownfields, redevelopment and remediation issues in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Drinker Biddle & Reath associate Meredith Slawe was elected to the board of managers of the University of Pennsylvania Law School Alumni Society.
The board of managers serves as the principal group representing Penn Law School's 14,000-plus alumni, coordinates alumni activities focused on helping Penn Law achieve its mission, and leads the law alumni society.
Slawe has a litigation practice with an emphasis on business disputes, class actions, government and internal investigations, intellectual property/trade secret litigation, and white-collar criminal defense.
Margaret M. Russell-Shepherd joined Levine, Staller, Sklar, Chan & Brown as an associate.
She focuses her practice on matters involving commercial and business transactions; real estate; federal and state tax matters; and estates, wills and trusts.
Russell-Shepherd came to the firm after serving as a law clerk for New Jersey Superior Court Judge Joseph L. Marczyk.
She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the U.S. Tax Court.
Joseph M. Donley, member-in-charge of Clark Hill Thorp Reed's Philadelphia office, along with Clark Hill attorney Joshua M. Farber and Giuseppe A. Dell'Acqua of Studio Legale Pavia e Ansaldo, in conjunction with the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, presented a "lunch and learn" on "Procedures of How to Incorporate Companies in Italy vs. the U.S." on June 26 at the offices of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
Donley is the leader of Clark Hill's insurance and reinsurance practice group.
He concentrates his practice in complex civil litigation with an emphasis in the areas of insurance and reinsurance litigation.
