The symposium featured a lecture on industry perspectives from former Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Diane Koken and a keynote address by Ben Nelson, CEO of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

The Breakfast of Champions celebrates supporters of CLS’s bar campaign, which annually raises nearly $400,000 from more than 120 law firms to support CLS’s work providing access to justice to low-income Philadelphians.
At this year’s breakfast, CLS will honor Morgan, Lewis & Bockius with the Hall of Fame Award. CLS will also recognize Raynes McCarty and Dechert‘s Joseph A. Tate with Champion of Justice awards, and present Equal Justice awards to Cynthia Harmon and Gail Thompkins of CLS, and to Mark S. Schwartz of Regional Housing Legal Services.
Bridget E. Montgomery, member and chair of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott‘s Harrisburg commercial litigation group, is scheduled to serve as moderator during a CLE program and reception June 11 at the William J. Nealon Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Scranton.
Montgomery, the CLE chair for the Middle District chapter of the Federal Bar Association, is the course planner and organizer, and will moderate the panel discussion titled "Civil and Criminal Pretrial Evidentiary Hearings: Beyond the Basics."

The webinar, titled "Inadvertent Disclosure: Are Clawbacks Allowed? Avoiding Privilege Waiver in E-Discovery," will focus on best practices to avoid finding a waiver of privilege.

Jonathan M. Korn, a partner with Blank Rome, is being installed as president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Southern New Jersey at the organization’s annual meeting today.

Matthew Laver, an associate in the general liability group at Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby, was awarded the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel Young Lawyer Award.
The award is given annually to a young lawyer who best exemplifies the qualities of professionalism and dedication as defense counsel in the practice of law and in the promotion of the highest ideals of justice in the community.
