Jaimee Farrer joined Reed Smith as an associate in the life sciences health industry group and Dana Janquitto joined the firm as an associate in the real estate group, both in the Philadelphia office.

Sanmathi (Sanu) Dev joined Capehart Scatchard‘s labor and employment and school law departments and Nicholas A. Dibble joined the firm’s workers’ compensation department.

Both attorneys are based in the Mount Laurel, N.J., office.

Dev focuses her practice in the representation of public and private sector employers in the areas of labor and employment, school law and civil rights law matters.

Dibble represents insurance carriers and employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims at all stages of litigation.

Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel added associates Ivo Becica and Larae N. Idleman to the firm’s labor relations and employment law department.

They will both reside in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Becica focuses his practice on defending employment claims and Idleman focuses her practice on counseling management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law and handling related litigation.

The 31st annual Jewish Law Day is set to take place at 5 p.m. June 3 at the Jewish Community Services Building, 2100 Arch St., Philadelphia.

The free event, "A Conversation on Law, Ethics and Lessons of Life," honors former U.S. Senator Arlen Specter. The guest speaker will be Judge Ilana Kara Diamond Rovner of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Saul Ewing‘s white-collar and government enforcement practice hosted "Whistleblower CLE Seminar: What Employers Need to Know" at the Hub CityView in Philadelphia.

The event featured speakers from the life sciences, health and financial services industries, as well as government enforcement representatives, all of whom offered their views on how best to encourage employees to report internally concerns about wrongdoing.

Lamb McErlane was named to the 2013 Honor Roll of Legal Organizations Welcoming Women Professionals by the Pennsylvania Bar Association‘s Commission on Women in the Profession.

Lamb McErlane was recognized for its innovative programs and policies for working mothers and longtime support of women-related causes.

Kevin R. Marciano, a partner of Marciano & MacAvoy, spoke to the Student Bar Association at Drexel University Earle Mack School of Law on the topics of dram shop/liquor liability and lack of requirements for mandatory insurance for liquor license holders in Pennsylvania.
