Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Judge Lester G. Nauhaus has ordered that former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Joan Orie Melvin be resentenced.
The docket entry does not provide a reason for the resentencing, but Nauhaus said in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he needs to resentence Orie Melvin to three one-year terms of house arrest to run consecutively to one another instead of just ordering her to serve three years of house arrest.
