Asbestos defense lawyers arrived in the state Supreme Court on Wednesday with guns blazing as they urged the six sitting justices not only to rule in their clients’ favor, but also to send a message about the parameters of asbestos litigation in Pennsylvania.
But the defense counsel arrived to find they had almost no opposition from the plaintiffs’ counsel because the plaintiffs conceded that the Superior Court should be reversed and that summary judgment against their clients should be reinstated.
