Louis Teti, a senior partner with MacElree Harvey, was the featured speaker at a meeting of the Delaware County Estate Planning Council on the subject of "Addressing Philanthropy in the Estate Planning Process."
Teti represents individuals and businesses in a range of estate, business and tax planning matters.
Volpe and Koenig announced that Susanne Wilson joined the firm as an associate and Laura Gilbert Remus joined as a technical adviser.
Wilson concentrates her practice on prosecution of mechanical patents and has specialized knowledge in fuel cell technology, green energy conversion, structural engineering and engineering optimization.
Remus focuses her practice on preparation and prosecution of U.S., international and foreign patent applications in the electrical and computer software fields.
James Wescoe joined Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby as a partner in the commercial transportation group and Patrick Downey joined the firm as an associate in the group.
Both attorneys are located in the firm’s Philadelphia office.
Elected and Appointed
Julia Swain, a partner in the family law practice of Fox Rothschild, was appointed co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s bench bar committee for 2013 by the association’s chancellor.
Swain represents clients in all aspects of family law including divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution and abuse.
Blank Rome partner Matthew D. Lee was elected president of the board of directors of Philadelphia VIP, the pro bono arm of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He will serve as president for a two-year term.
Lee is based in Blank Rome’s Philadelphia office and is a member of its white-collar defense and investigations practice group.
Regina M. Foley, a partner with Raynes McCarty, was named co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s women in the profession committee.
Foley focuses her practice on representing individuals and families who have suffered serious injuries or death as a result of wrongful acts of others.
