Legislation that would amend the Action to Quiet Title Law relating to subsurface rights awaits action in the House Judiciary Committee.
Last week, the bill’s sponsors, state Senator Gene Yaw, R-Lycoming, and state Representative Garth Everett, R-Lycoming, urged the committee’s chair, state Representative Ron Marsico, R-Dauphin, to move the bill, SB 1324, saying it would help landowners claim ownership of unclear or unknown oil, gas and mineral right interests.
