An Am Law 200 firm is facing a $4 million judgment for causing a client to lose a multimillion-dollar conversion lawsuit.

Judge Abbe Fletman of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas ruled Tuesday that Offit Kurman’s negligence landed its client with a $2.9 million default judgment against him. Now, the firm is on the hook for that judgment, plus about $1.2 million in interest and $45,000 in legal expenses.
