Law firm leaders departed their roles at an increasing pace in 2023, with at least 30 large law firms nationwide announcing some kind of leadership change throughout the year. Pennsylvania’s firms followed in line with this trend, presaging a shift in the region’s legal landscape in both 2023 and 2024.
Beginning with local firms who announced their leadership changes in 2022 and were scheduled to go into effect in 2023, Blank Rome promoted a new chairman, while Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath and Dechert each installed entirely new global leadership teams.
