Making good on his threat to sue several city officials for their efforts to remove a Christopher Columbus statue in South Philadelphia, Bochetto & Lentz’s George Bochetto has filed a lawsuit against Mayor Jim Kenney and members of the city’s Historical Commission and Board of Licenses & Inspection Review.

The complaint, filed late last week on behalf of the Friends of Marconi Plaza, raises counts for abuse of process, conspiracy and two alleged violations of the state constitution against nine defendants. The suit was filed May 25 in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
