Fromson is the managing attorney of the Women’s Law Project, where she has worked since 1994. Fromson’s entire legal career has been devoted to public interest law. She earned her law degree from NYU School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College. Prior to joining the Women’s Law Project, Fromson honed her litigation skills at the National Employment Law Project, the National Health Law Program, and Community Legal Services.

Since joining the Women’s Law Project, she has brought high-impact litigation and achieved significant policy victories at the local, state, and national levels on a wide variety of gender equity and women’s rights issues. She has addressed systemic inequities in women’s economic status, improved criminal justice response to sexual and domestic violence, enforced legal obligations of educational institutions to address sex discrimination and sexual harassment, and improved Philadelphia’s institutional response to domestic and sexual violence. She has taken on every challenge with extraordinary legal skills, unflagging courage, and a zealous, client-centered focus that is a model for her coworkers and for younger lawyers. Her fierce advocacy has moved the laws and policies affecting the disadvantaged and oppressed in the direction of justice—in Philadelphia, statewide, and nationally.
