A federal judge in Pennsylvania shot down a plaintiff’s motor vehicle accident case after he was caught lying under oath and presenting falsified documents. 

In a Feb. 10 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania dismissed the suit after the defendant, a Philadelphia police officer, moved for sanctions, asking the court to dismiss the plaintiff’s lawsuit against him because the plaintiff attempted to commit fraud on the court by using false evidence of damages and lying about the extent of preexisting injuries.
