The Pennsylvania Supreme Court adopted an amendment to Rule 208 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Disciplinary Enforcement in an attempt to provide an expedited disbarment procedure for attorneys who fail to comply with the terms of their temporary suspensions.
The amendment implemented last month applies to attorneys on temporary suspensions for two years or more without beginning the formal proceedings, the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania announced in a press release.
