A pair of attorneys from Philadelphia-based litigation boutique Sacks Weston are facing federal charges for allegedly diverting legal fees from their firm, which could see them imprisoned for a maximum of 40 years.

Scott Diamond, 62, of Philadelphia, and Jesse Cohen, 42, of Los Angeles, have been charged with one count of mail fraud and one count of wire fraud by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, according to a statement released Friday. The pair are alleged to have misdirected about $750,000 in fees from numerous personal injury and subrogation matters from their firm to themselves from 2018 to 2020.
