Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner continues to find support from city residents in the face of heavy opposition, said criminal defense attorneys speaking with The Legal Intelligencer. But while Philadelphians still demonstrate support for the DA’s progressive approach to criminal justice, attorneys said ensuring that progress outlives Krasner’s time in office will require buy-in from outside of the office.

“His reelection was a reflection of the fact that a great majority of the voters believe that he carried out the reforms to the criminal justice system that he said he would to,” said David Rudovsky, Penn Law senior fellow and civil rights attorney at Kairys, Rudovsky, Messing, Feinberg & Lin.
