An attorney seeking to overturn a nearly $230,000 judgment that stemmed from failing to pay back a $25,000 litigation funding loan has failed in his efforts to disqualify opposing counsel.
On Monday, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected Philadelphia attorney John Martucci’s request that they take up his appeal in Lawyers Funding Group v. Martucci. The appeal comes after the state Superior Court last year denied Martucci’s efforts to have counsel for the litigation funding company, Lawyers Funding Group, removed from the case.
