Ballard Spahr filed a copyright infringement lawsuit on behalf of Dow Jones & Co., publisher of the Wall Street Journal, Monday in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court. The lawsuit accuses Nic.kl Inc. of engaging in ‘commercialized password sharing’ by using at least 18 individual WSJ.com subscriptions to distribute login credentials to a slew of customers. Lawyers have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:22-cv-01070, Dow Jones & Company, Inc. v. Nic.kl, Inc.
