A Pennsylvania defense attorney has made a costly mistake by improperly shutting down a line of questioning during a medical malpractice deposition, a state court judge has determined.

Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas Judge Terrence Nealon ruled March 4 that defense counsel for a retired nurse, who is a defendant in a medical malpractice suit, will need to pay attorney fees and costs related to additional discovery after making several ”suggestive interjections” and halting the questioning of his client during a deposition.
