The battle over Pennsylvania’s schoolwide mask mandate is set to go before the high court Dec. 8, in a case where executive powers are being challenged by plaintiffs led by the Pennsylvania Senate president pro tempore.
The justices will revisit the Commonwealth Court’s ruling in Corman v. Acting Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, which said the Department of Health did not have the authority to require facial coverings in schools as a COVID-mitigation strategy.
