A former personal injury lawyer who was sentenced to federal prison Tuesday “lost his compass” after he started drinking too much, his lawyer said.
Judge Clay Land of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia sentenced George W. Snipes to 51 months in federal prison and ordered $1.64 million in restitution.
