Attorneys from the Philadelphia-based global law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius are representing Pennsylvania state officials in a lawsuit challenging subpoenas that several Republican state senators are pursuing as part of a GOP-backed review of the state’s 2020 general election.

The lawsuit, which names Sen. Cris Dush, R-Jefferson; Sen. Pro Tem Jake Corman, R-Centre; and the Senate’s Intergovernmental Operations Committee, was filed late Thursday in the Commonwealth Court. The suit is on behalf of acting Secretary of State Veronica Degraffenreid. It was filed by lawyers with the state Attorney General’s Office, as well as Morgan Lewis’ John Dodds of Philadelphia and Susan Baker Manning of Washington, D.C.
