Civil rights cases alleging police abuses are seen as uphill battles, but the climb may be getting less steep as jurors adopt a more nuanced view of police-citizen interactions, according to the former prosecutor who just recently filed suit in a shooting case.

Kevin Harden Jr. of Ross Feller Casey in Philadelphia said that the way these cases are being litigated—including the types of firms taking them on and the way jurors are considering the issues—is undergoing change.
