Murdza’s most important legal work of 2020 has aligned with the pandemic’s own lifecycle. Within weeks she went from co-authoring an early alert about therapeutic and vaccine development for COVID to plunging directly into efforts to assail the virus with initial distribution and supply agreements related to antibody tests that were coming into the United States.

Where once there was a question as to how hard the United States would be hit, by late spring—as catastrophic images in New York became a harbinger for the country—she worked constantly on pandemic-related matters. Murdza had a major role on the DLA Piper team that worked with Pfizer as they went from development-to-market with the company’s COVID-19 vaccine in record time. She worked with Pfizer in the development, coordination and negotiation of supply agreements with governmental entities to supply the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to countries throughout the world.
