In 2020, Guagliardo’s clients turned to him during this challenging time to help them navigate commercial and regulatory matters associated with developing and adopting new technologies. In the last year, he has guided a client in converting its multibillion-dollar brick-and-mortar business to an e-commerce business model to sell PPE. Another project for a large health care institution involved advising on the development and rollout of predictive analytics software to monitor and report healthcare professional staffing needs based on anticipated concentrations of COVID-19 outbreaks. He also advised several companies on COVID-19-related technology solutions, including technology for COVID-19 test kit tracking and administration and contact tracing.
Needless to say, 2020 was a chaotic year. What’s the first piece of advice would you give someone when dealing with a crisis?
