A federal judge has ordered $8,500 in sanctions against a plaintiffs attorney who repeatedly interrupted and interjected during a deposition in a dental malpractice case to the point where defense counsel could not participate.

On June 14, U.S. District Judge Michael Baylson of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted defendant Dr. Abraham Benshetrit’s request for $8,500 in sanctions against attorney Brendan Mulligan to cover expenses related to the deposition incurred by the law firm Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin.
