The Commonwealth Court has ruled that a Bucks County school district did not violate any anti-discrimination laws and won’t have to comply with an order mandating that it remove all Native American logos, imagery and references from its 11 schools, including the use of the term “Redskins,” which is widely seen by many as a racist slur.

In Neshaminy School District v. Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, a three-judge panel said in a June 7 decision that the district followed the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and that it was the PHRC that overstepped in issuing the 2019 order.
