The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday opted not to hear Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder case, letting stand a $2.1 billion verdict, and, although the decision is unlikely to have much impact on thousands of similar lawsuits pending in the courts, plaintiffs attorneys see the ruling as a good sign.
Especially in Philadelphia, where the first talc case in Pennsylvania is set to come before a jury in August.
