Lawsuits against universities seeking refunds for classes that were switched from in-person to online-only in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic are getting a cold reception from the courts. But some are surviving.
And that dynamic was on display last week, as two Pennsylvania federal judges ruled two days apart in nearly identical cases, one of which was dismissed entirely while the other was able to survive on pared-down claims.
