Duquesne University has named Pamela Connelly, the former vice chancellor for diversity at the University of Pittsburgh, as the Catholic research school’s next general counsel and senior vice president for legal affairs.

Connelly, who is currently a partner at the law firm of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky in Pittsburgh, will succeed Madelyn Reilly. Reilly is slated to retire in May after 12 years at Duquesne’s legal affairs division.
