A lawsuit filed by a son whose parents were among those killed in the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting alleges that the gun lobby radicalized the shooter, Robert Bowers, with anti-Semitic and white supremacist rhetoric, influencing his decision to open fire on the congregation.
The suit, filed on behalf of plaintiff Marc Simon, claims that the National Rifle Association is to blame for inciting the massacre that left 11 people dead and 10 injured, including four police officers, at the Pittsburgh synagogue in October 2018. Additionally, Simon sued Colt’s Manufacturing, maker of the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle used by Bowers during the shooting.
