Attorneys with Ross Aronstam & Moritz on Wednesday asked the Court of Chancery to find TransPerfect Global Inc. in contempt in response to a lawsuit the company has filed in New York.

The firm and partner Garrett B. Moritz filed a motion Wednesday arguing that TransPerfect and CEO Phil Shawe violated release conditions of the company’s Delaware sale by filing a legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit against Ross Aronstam in Manhattan Supreme Court in August, alleging that filing violated Chancellor Andre Bouchard’s orders that gave the Court of Chancery exclusive jurisdiction over anything relating to TransPerfect’s custodianship.
