I know I’ll get trounced for even raising this subject, but here it goes: There’s chatter that the pandemic is driving moms crazier than ever, igniting a new version of the mommy wars.

Call it Mean Girls 2.0. It’s not the tired conflict between working and stay-at-home moms. (Arguably, we’re all stay-at-home moms now.) Indeed, the pressures of the pandemic has escalated the stakes of mommyhood to new heights on all fronts—personal, political and moral.
