Pittsburgh-based global firm K&L Gates, building out its IP practice in the Windy City, has absorbed a small law firm founded by a Big Law alum.
Patrick Richards recently joined K&L Gates as partner, along with Clare Frederick and Trevor Martin as associates, in the IP procurement and portfolio management practice, based in Chicago. Patent specialist Josh Brooks also made the move with the group.
