The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to hear the question of whether an appellate court can, without prompting, decide if a guardian ad litem had a conflict of interest in representing a child in a termination of parental rights case.

Allocatur was granted Dec. 9 by the court in the consolidated adoption matters of H.M.G., A.M.G., S.A.G. and J.C.C. originating from the McKean County Orphans’ Court.
