Litigation powerhouse Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan announced its launch of a dedicated cannabis practice last month. The move was driven, according to the firm, by increasing demand from existing cannabis clients for sophisticated litigation expertise.
It’s a relatively simple equation: As players in the fledging legal marijuana industry mature, they are going to see business disputes that end up in court, says Quinn partner Robert Becher, the head of Quinn’s practice.
