Aya Salem of Conrad O'Brien was a panelist at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education Practice of Law Fundamentals Series.
The topic of the CLE was "Evidence Strategies for Maximum Impact: A Practical Guide to Getting the Most Out of Your Evidence and Raising Effective Objections to Keep Evidence Out."
The CLE was held at the New Jersey Law Center.
Salem's practice focuses on the representation of prominent law firms and attorneys in complex legal malpractice suits and other civil liability matters as well as the representation of clients in business disputes and complex commercial litigation, with particular focus on products liability litigation.

Hill Wallack partner Francis J. Sullivan was among a group of panelists for a seminar sponsored by National Business Institute.
The program was held at the Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia City Avenue.
The seminar was titled "The Mini MBA for Attorneys."
Sullivan presented on ethical considerations and discussed the ethical standards and civil liability, the role of the attorney as adviser in limited liability company formation, conflicts of interest, and confidentiality.

Philadelphia labor, employment and workers' compensation law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson announced that attorney Kurt Kwak joined the firm.
He focuses his practice on workers' compensation and Social Security disability.
With more than 28 years of experience practicing law, he represents clients in all phases of trial, including appeals before the Commonwealth Court, Superior Court and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit Court.
As an attorney in the firm's workers' compensation group, Kwak counsels clients on how to get paid for loss of wages and benefits and get their medical bills paid by their employer's workers' compensation insurance.
He also has experience in personal injury, employment and labor law.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young attorney Kristen Gibbons Feden was presented with the Visionary Voice Award by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center and the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape at the National Sexual Assault Conference in Philadelphia.
NSVRC offers the Visionary Voice Awards, in conjunction with Sexual Assault Awareness Month each April, to recognize the creativity and hard work of individuals around the country who work to end sexual violence.
Feden also presented on the conference panel "Bringing Cosby to Justice: The First Conviction in the #MeToo Era" with Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele and attorney M. Stewart Ryan.
Feden is a litigator and concentrates her practice on institutional responses to sexual and gender-based harassment and abuse, ethical concerns, discrimination and other misconduct.
She represents clients in general and complex litigation matters, including sexual harassment, employment discrimination and Title IX and corporate regulatory compliance, as well as clients in the financial services industry.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls.
