Fall daylight savings time can be difficult for many of us who find ourselves working before the sun rises and working well past the sun sets. Daylight savings time was first introduced in Europe and the United States after World War I to decrease the use of fuel for lighting and heating by providing extra evening daylight in the summer and extra morning daylight in the winter. We no longer have these post-war restrictions, but continue to “fall back” each November. Traditionally, this change of time and season has also been an occasion to set new personal and professional goals as we enter fall and quickly thereafter winter.
