Marcy Hart, a partner in the firm’s real estate practice, was joined by senior vice president of Jones Lang LaSalle Lauren Gilchrist and Anne Bovaird Nevins, senior vice president of marketing and business development at PIDC.
Their discussion focused on investment in certain designated census tracts nationwide and how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act enacted the “Opportunity Zone” program.
Panelists outlined the designations of the zones, the availability of the tax incentives and how to leverage the tax benefits in real estate transactions.

The Montgomery Bar Association is set to present, “A Statutory Renovation of Construction Contracting: The 2018 Amendments to PA’s Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act” at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 4.
The CLE will provide a review of the background, context and effort of the amendments to Pennsylvania’s Contractor and Subcontractor Payment Act.

Kellie A. McGowan of Eastburn and Gray is set to serve as faculty for a full day Pennsylvania Bar Institute real estate seminar on Aug. 16 in Philadelphia.
The panel will discuss topics related to buying and selling residential property, including an introduction to some key issues often encountered in practice.
McGowan is a shareholder and practices in the real estate, land use and zoning, and banking practice areas at Eastburn and Gray.
She represents clients throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey in residential and commercial real estate matters.
