A series of lawsuits brought by women who allege they were injured by deteriorating contraceptive implants has been moved from federal court to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
U.S. District Senior Judge John R. Padova of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled July 23 that the federal court did not have jurisdiction over the cases against Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Inc., maker of the Essure contraceptive device.
