Sophie Bryan Executive Director, Philadelphia VIP
Bryan joined Philadelphia VIP in June 2017. Previously, she was the program director for Invest Health at Reinvestment Fund where she was responsible for the overall management of the Invest Health initiative and provided day-to-day oversight focused on team management, program delivery, and quality control.
Bryan practiced law for eight years, primarily in the legal services field where she represented low-income clients, first in Boston and then in Philadelphia. She served for five years as an adjunct professor at the Drexel University School of Law, teaching an upper-level writing course.
She is the board co-chair for the Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project. A native Philadelphian, Bryan graduated with honors from Harvard College, with a BA in History and Science, and from Harvard Law School.

Gibbs, the current president of the Barrister’s Association—the largest association of African American attorneys in Pennsylvania—recently moved from Green, Schafle & Gibbs (now Green & Schafle) to McMonagle Perri McHugh Mischak Davis where he focuses his practice on on criminal defense, complex personal injury cases, and election and municipal law matters.
Established in 1950, the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia purpose, then and now, has been to address the professional needs and development of African-American lawyers in Philadelphia through programs such as seminars, cultural events and publications.

Dianne Nast Founder, NastLaw
Nast is the founder and senior member of NastLaw in Philadelphia. For almost 20 years, she was a senior shareholder with the Philadelphia law firm of Kohn, Nast & Graf (now Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C.), and then a senior shareholder at RodaNast, from 1995 to 2012.
She is an active member of the bar for over four decades, has extensive experience in complex litigation. She has a reputation for working cooperatively with co-counsel and facilitating resolution of disagreement.
Bethany Nikitenko Partner, McLaughlin Lauricella
A 2017 Lawyers on the Fast Track winner, Nikitenko focuses her practice on litigation, personal injury and medical malpractice. She joined the McLaughlin & Lauricella’s team in October 2012, and was elevated to partner in December of 2017. She previously practiced with another Philadelphia law firm for five years where she gained extensive experience in civil litigation.
She has a genuine compassion for people, and desire to devote her life to righting wrongs that have befallen innocent people. She excels at standing up for victims’ rights in suits involving medical malpractice, automobile accidents, sexual abuse, premises liability, dram shop liability and products liability.
