Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partners Craig R. Blackman and Kevin R. Casey presented at The University of the Arts' graduate school program in museum services on Nov. 8 in Philadelphia.
Blackman presented “The Role of Insurance in the Fine Arts and Museum World,” and Casey spoke on “Intellectual Property Law for Museums.”
Blackman is co-chair of the firm's insurance practice and cyber insurance groups.
He has counseled clients on primary, umbrella, excess policies and reinsurance, as well as captive, self-insured and surplus lines programs and proof of claim/coverage analyses in receivership.
Casey is chair of the intellectual property and the IP litigation groups at Stradley Ronon and a member of the alternative dispute resolution group.

On Nov. 9, Fisher & Phillips Philadelphia partners Rick Grimaldi and Lori Armstrong Halber hosted a panel in Center City that discussed strategies and insights for what employers should know about workplace violence.
Attending speakers and panelists represented both federal and local law enforcement, media and the legal community.
They shared their areas of expertise and provided practical insights on creating a proactive plan that focuses on safety, prevention and crisis management.
Grimaldi's national practice spans all aspects of labor and employment law including regularly representing employers in litigation matters involving discrimination claims and wrongful termination claims.
Halber regularly provides preventive counseling and training for executives, supervisors and employees on topics such as harassment prevention, the respectful workplace, effective communication, performance management, diversity and inclusion and union avoidance.

Martin Law associate Frank Udinson is set to present at the Philadelphia Bar Association's CLE program titled “Reaching Reasonable Resolutions in the Absence of Impairment Rating Caps.”
The program will look at other methods to get parties together to discuss viable settlement with the removal of the impairment rating evaluations.
Udinson practices in the areas of workers' compensation law and veterans benefits.

Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads partner and general counsel Louis R. Moffa Jr. joined the firm's alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practice group, offering services in mediation and arbitration in complex commercial cases.
Moffa has experience handling mediations and arbitrators, both as an advocate and neutral.
Moffa will join his partner retired U.S. Magistrate Judge Joel B. Rosen in servicing clients across the mid-Atlantic region in mediation and arbitration.
He has more than three decades of experience as a practicing attorney.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
