In a ceremony at the Chester County Justice Center, Gawthrop Greenwood's Meghna Reddy was sworn in by the judges of the Court of Common Pleas.
The ceremony in courtroom one came after a motion by Gawthrop Greenwood partner Patrick O'Donnell to admit her. A recent graduate of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Reddy worked with the Interdisciplinary Mental and Physical Health Law Clinic at Villanova, where she represented clients in Supplemental Security Income cases and assisted those with mental impairments in acquiring additional medical assistance.
Additions
Robert S. Turchick joined Eastburn and Gray as an associate in the firm's Doylestown office.
Turchick practices in the areas of litigation, land use and zoning, municipal law, employment and discrimination and construction.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
He was a summer clerk for the firm in 2016 and regularly contributes to the firm's Pennsylvania land use, real estate and municipal law blog, www.pazoninglawyers.com.

Two public finance attorneys, Sara Davis Buss and Christopher J. Rayl, have joined Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott's Pittsburgh office as partners.
At Campbell & Levine, where the pair worked together previously, Buss directed that firm's public finance practice.
Buss and Rayl have closed billions of dollars in public finance projects, including some of western Pennsylvania's most complex transactions.

Kline's presentation, “Workflow for Document Production,” delivered Oct. 19, covered how to be a mobile road warrior, creating documents that are error-free and effective while traveling.
Kline has more than 20 years of experience representing hundreds of injured clients.
He has advocated for those clients and their families in complex injury claims involving severe injuries.

Sharon Paxton from McNees Wallace & Nurick presented a Pennsylvania Tax Update at the MACPA 2017 Advanced Tax Institute Conference in Baltimore.
Paxton, the vice chair of McNees Wallace's state and local tax group, has more than 20 years of experience representing companies of all sizes in a broad range of state and local tax matters.
She assists clients in resolving disputes concerning sales and use tax, corporate net income tax, capital stock and franchise tax, fuel tax (IFTA) and business privilege tax liabilities.
Paxton also deals with some personal income tax matters for individuals.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
