Tyler VanHoutan has joined the intellectual property litigation and patents department at McGuireWoods in Houston. VanHoutan is joining the firm as a partner. He has handled investigations before the International Trade Commission and litigation in federal courts across the country.
Andrew Weaver and Suni Sukduang, Houston-based shareholders in Polsinelli, have been named vice chairs of practice groups within the firm’s new intellectual property department. Weaver is vice chair of the medical device/mechanical engineering patent prosecution practice group, and Sukduang is vice chair of the patent post grant practice group. Gregory Novak and Tracy W. Druce, shareholders in Houston, recently were named vice chairs of the firmwide IP department.
