John M. O’Quinn & Associates and the executor of O’Quinn’s estate have sued Houston lawyer Tammy Tran and Grace Prepaid Legal Group Inc. alleging the O’Quinn firm has received no return from its $1.5 million investment in GPLG or an accounting of GPLG’s finances.

John M. O’Quinn & Associates, doing business as the O’Quinn Law Firm, and executor T. Gerald Treece allege in the Oct. 6 petition that the firm invested the money in GPLG in 2009 after Tran provided plaintiffs lawyerO’Quinn with a written business plan that “conservatively projected” the legal service contract company would generate $90 million in revenue over the first three years of operation and called for investors to receive a third of the company’s revenue.
